The exquisite corpse soundscape is a project I have found very interesting so far. It is not something I would traditionally work with - as I have never realized it as a creative medium. When brainstorming for this project, my initial thoughts were about movies and the use of sound effects to create mood and suspense. Many times the original audio from filming is not used, and a post production technician will use strange and unique tools to create the illusion of the audio. My favorite that I have seen is a bell pepper being pulled apart, which sounds just like ice cracking. I wanted to include audio around my apartment because there is so much I have become used to that I don’t hear anymore. For instance, the humming of my refrigerator and the squeaking of my door: two sounds I no longer pay attention to. I also thought about my favorite audio engineer - Alan Parsons, who produced some of the most acclaimed albums of all time. I want to make my soundscape tranquil and rhythmic, but in a way that mimics nature. This will act as a return to nature from the sounds of a basement. Every morning this year I have begun my day with a grounding exercise on the grass outside. I can hear the birds chirping and the sun on my skin. Then I know I have to go back inside, and it immediately makes me feel worse. I want to make s

omething that returns the nature of the outside into the inside.
